Students enrolled in our Fine Arts Camp participate in three, hour-long classes, Monday through Friday. Guests are invited Friday to watch a performance and art show. Classes to choose from include: Band, Cartooning, Chorus, Drama, Dance, Drawing, Film, and Graphic design.
Band: Students who have little experience with instrumental music will enjoy learning about music and playing on recorders.
Bucket Drumming: students will learn to play and read rhythms, performing mostly on provided buckets with provided sticks. The group will perform as a percussion ensemble by the end of the week.
Cartooning: Learn to create original cartoons, comic strips and caricatures in black and white and full color.
Chorus: Students who love to sing will learn how to participate in a formal vocal music program.
Creative Writing: students will learn how much fun writing can be through this class which will publish their work by the end of the week.
Dance: Students who love dance will explore dance basics and learn musical theatre-based dance. Students of all levels welcomed.
Digital Broadcasting: students will learn the ins and outs of various broadcasting platforms such as social media, podcasts, and journalism.
Drama: Students will be introduced to drama through theater games, improvisation, dramatic reading, stage presentation and more.
Drawing: A formal drawing class where basic drawing methods and techniques are learned and practiced.
Film: A beginner's introduction to script writing and film production.
Graphic Design: Learn to create original artwork, font manipulation and page layout design on the computer.
